The OHAUS Defender 3000 series of bench scales are designed with affordability in mind, but with no compromise on quality. They are ideal for general weighing and simple counting applications in production, packaging, warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving areas.

The versatile Defender 3000 bench scale is built for the rigors of the warehouse with a thick 304 stainless steel weighing platform. The 3000 model is available in either powder coated steel with aluminum loadcells or all 304 stainless steel with stainless steel loadcells.

The sturdy ABS plastic terminal houses a 100-hour rechargeable battery offering almost two weeks of continuous operation. Not having to run additional power lines on the warehouse floor is always good for safety, and the ability to easily relocate Defender is good for operational efficiency.

Defender 3000 is also designed to be simple to operate with an easy-read backlit LCD display, tactile keys, and flexible mounting capabilities. Defender 3000 is offered with NTEP/Measurement Canada or OIML/EC Type approvals (depending on the region).

The multifunctional Defender 5000 series of bench scales are ideally suited for a range of industrial applications, including production, packaging, inventory, and shipping. Defender 5000 is designed to simplify demanding industrial and commercial applications.

Defender 5000 meets the weighing and measurement needs of practically every industrial application or manufacturing process, including Parts Counting with APW optimization, Checkweighing or Checkcounting, Percent Weighing, Filling, and Dynamic Weighing or Display Hold. Many application modes eliminate the need for long and complicated manual calculations.

Defender 5000 scales are durably built with a stainless steel platform, sand gray powder-coated steel frame, and aluminum load cell. Defender meets NTEP/Measurement Canada or OIML/EC type approvals (depending on region).

Defender 5000 is designed for maximum efficiency with advanced features such as maximum configurability print output, GMP/GLP data output, library/user management and multiple connectivity options. These bench scales feature common industrial modes and offer high storage capacity with a 50,000-item library with 1,000 user profiles which can be downloaded/uploaded for easy set-up with the included Micro SD Card. GMP fields are included for data output with date/time/date for traceability and an Alibi memory option is available.

Defender 5000 features multiple connectivity options for convenient data transfer and storage via built-in RS232 port or optional interfaces including a second RS232/RS485/USB device, USB host, Ethernet, Bluetooth/WiFi, Analog Output and Discrete I/O with relays.

Using the Analog Option (either 4-20mA or 0-10V) or the two In/four out discrete I/O, the Defender 5000 indicator can also be used for systems including PLCs, barcode scanners, label printers, other accessories
 
OHAUS product designers also kept ease-of-use in mind when creating the Defender 5000 series. This user-friendly model includes an alpha-numeric keypad with SoftKeys, large backlit display, and plain text on-screen prompts which guide you through operation.

Results can be read easily on the Defender 5000’s large transflective dot matrix display, even in bright sunlight. Defender 5000 uses a SmarText 3.0 interface to guide you through all of the scale’s unique and advanced features. This reduces training time for operators and simplifies setup.
