Under the new FDA regulations, supermarket with more than 20 locations that provide in-store foodservice to the public have to provide detailed nutritional information.  In addition to using higher-precision scales and balances for food development, many companies use precision scales like the Valor 2000 to measure the amount of frosting applied to cakes and pastries.  Depending on the ingredient and batch size, this may require precision to 0.01g or finer, requiring high resolution weighing equipment.  Designed for use in foodservice and food processing, the Valor 2000 is protected to IPX8 and are NSF listed/certified as well as USDA-AMS accepted for food processing use.  This combination provides a scale that is not only fully washdown, but also food safe and precise enough for tracking ingredient amounts.
